I've tried many snap ring pliers and these are the best I've ever used.
I am a farmer and we do most of our mechanical work including some retaining rings. My dad has a signature set he bought in college 45 years ago and it works really well. Otherwise we have bought many sets, from cheap to branded ones, even the same brand as Dad's old set. Most break after a few uses, and they all frustrate us. I've had them for a few months now and every time I use them I can't believe how they just bite into the retaining ring and never slip off. I will be purchasing a second set for our service van.
