I have to agree with people who say it's cheaply made out of low quality metal. I wanted a solid metal grater because one day we broke the plastic handle on our old grater. Although everything was metal, it's definitely not durable stainless steel. After less than a year of use, the stitching came undone where the metal joins to form a box: my friend and I are not people with huge muscles, and we only use it to grate cheese. Ah, I miss the grater. my childhood! We threw it away after DECADES of use because it was rusty, not because it broke.
