As you can see from the photo, the gasket insert supplied with this threshold does not match the one shown in the manufacturer's product photos. Rather than a V-groove as shown in the product photos, it is a flat edge insert that offers little to no cushioning between the sill and the door and requires absolute and almost impossible precision where the sill is fitted. The point is not just that the insert was deformed in transit, it really is made that way. It is impossible to create a V shape with it. I have sent a message to MD Building Products customer service asking if they have a different seal insert similar to the one shown in their product photos but they have not responded. I would return this product to Revain but based on the original cost it just isn't worth the hassle. It goes in the trash can.
