Bought these drill bits to drill bricks. I haven't had the experience that some other of them have saying they poke through brick easily (unless for some reason my type of brick isn't very strong). I'm surprised these masonry bits aren't designed to be used with a hammer or impact drill. I really can't recommend these bits without a brick punch from my experience. I used these bits with a Milwaukee Magnum Holeshooter cord drill and it took me a while to drill just a quarter inch hole. Thinking this was going to take forever, I decided to buy a set of masonry drill bits in Milwaukee and use a Milwaukee cordless rock drill bit to get the job done. The impact drill shortened the time considerably. I decided to try this drill bit with a hammer drill anyway (wearing goggles, thick gloves). I am NOT suggesting that you fail to follow proper instructions as these bits are not recommended for use with hammer drills. I wanted to test these drills further. I've found that Milwaukee bits only make holes slightly faster (when using a hammer drill). The Milwaukee bits cost me twice as much as these bits so I guess these bits aren't that bad for the price.
