I would not recommend buying for circular knitting needles. The wood on the needles has no finish so they hold the yarn. The rope itself is made of a rubber material that is also held in place by the yarn, making it very difficult to use as the loops do not slide easily. If you're new to knitting and want to try circular knitting needles, your best bet is to get a pair made out of aluminum, or at least a wooden one that has some sort of finish that makes them smooth, otherwise your project will take twice as long as you manually pulling stitches along the needle Cable is such a pain! The straight needles aren't the best quality (not what I expected for the price) but they do the job. I've knitted a few scarves that turned out well and now I'm knitting a small bag without complaining about the needles. As for the accessories, I really like it. Very compact and has everything you need to get started.
