The USB hub includes a port where you can connect a DC power supply (right next to the enhanced microUSB port where the USB cable connects). They do not include a DC power supply and the connector is unlabeled. to indicate what DC voltage is expected/required. I would guess that USB normally transfers 5V, but you're on your own if you decide to just plug something in and see if it works. It seems to work quite well as an unpowered USB hub. This means that the devices connected to it must be within the performance range of the port to which the hub is connected on your computer. Theoretically, this is not a problem for most devices. I don't know why the rating questionnaire asks about camera quality. It seems so stupid not to have a DC power supply.
