My 2000 Cherokee sometimes just wouldn't start, even with a new battery. The problem was that the starter/solenoid was dying. Replacing the starter motor and solenoid solved the problem. It fitted perfectly and now the jeep starts right away. The starter came with no instructions, but installation went smoothly. 2 screws and 2 wires. Helps video on YouTube, of which there are several. One big tip: steam clean the old starter before removing it. This makes the job much easier and cleaner.
