Good shelf, reasonable price, just don't rely on "instructions" in too many "step by step guides" to assemble the shelf . The materials on my device have been precisely cut and shaped/bent. This led to my only assembly problem - DO NOT tighten everything until all the nuts and bolts are in place. Since this product is mainly square steel pipe, care must be taken not to overtighten or pinch the pipe. With the included self-locking nuts, there's really no need to tighten it further *all the way*. My device is used to transport gas cylinders from the cabin to the city and back. I had no problem carrying 4.5 gallon canisters with a simple tie down strap to hold them. My main criticism of this product (reason for deducting 1 star) is the 2" adapter: This adapter allows the rack to be used with a 2" receiver. The supplied adapter is useless. Using it means you have to spend some time on your knees (or actually lie down) to screw in a long bolt every time you want to install or remove a strut on your car. If you have a 2" receiver and are purchasing this item, do yourself a favor and get a #45770 Curt screw-on-and-forget adapter (recommended retail price is $40.35). I bought mine at a local store for less than $25.
