This is the first time I've actually bought resin and not incense. I burned it with light charcoal and it put out a lot of smoke, almost more than we could handle, but it's a learning curve. The smell of fumes coming straight from the resin smells a bit like smoke and you don't get the full appreciation of how great it is until you leave. Don't smell the smoke directly, burn it and your house will smell like a temple or catholic church at Christmas mass. I only burned a large pinch, and that was enough to make the whole (small) house smell strongly of incense. When it was finished, it smelled not of "burnt smoke" but of incense. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and all the negative energy was neutralized and cleared after I walked her around the house. Most of mine aren't the size of a pea, more like aquarium gravel. It came in a double pack. This bag will last a very long time.
