Installation instructions are vague at best, with no indication of torque or backlash. My Kargard was mounted on a Blue Ox Avail hitch (same manufacturer as Kargard). The guard itself attaches to the brackets that you attach to the hitch. This includes removing the bolts that attach the triple eyelet to the legs of the hitch. The turret base is then slipped over the triple nose and the bolts are replaced. The instructions say don't overtighten or overtighten, not particularly useful information. There is no torque specification listed and this is where my biggest problem occurred. I tried not to find it too tight so as not to lose torque, but obviously I couldn't. One of the turret's bases shifted, causing the turret to hit the front of the towed vehicle (the New 2021 Ford Escape) on one side, causing significant damage. Then I applied the "blue" torque to the screw and it still moves. Blue Ox is not responsible for installation or poor training, so you are on your own. Beware
