Tech support was great, confirmed what I saw in the video and .

Came without instructions. I found a video on YouTube and called Blue Ox tech support. The tech support was great, confirming what I found in the video and emailing me instructions before I hung up. The product is easy to install, easy to remove and store when not in use.

There are no more chips in body repair tools

I liked the product. The assembly process seems a little flimsy. But after full installation and connection everything was fine. It's easy on and simple. On really tight turns and dips, the corners of the shield hit the back of the RV. So I shortened them a bit on the upper outer corners with a saber saw, which is easy to do. I think they will still offer protection. That's how Bruce stacks it

Works great, wish it was a few inches taller

I know some people had trouble with the instructions, I wasn't one of them. My only problem is the height. I know I can trim it to lower and protect the underside of the car. However, I'm not sure I would want to do this and give up the top protection it offers my car. I am considering adding a petticoat to solve this without dropping the flap. I've searched the internet to see if anyone has tried this without success. So I think I'll learn from my mistakes and try.

Easy after setup

Works well so far. really wasn't in any of the states we bought it for. Our Jeep Cherokee had rock chips from our own road construction RV. After the semi-automatic, our windshield also hit the rocks hard. One so bad that we undertook a renovation. We hope this will put some of them off. I also bought a jeep windshield pad but it was too big. The installation took about an hour and a half for the man to set everything up. Now it just snaps into place after he attaches the hitch. We love that it

Very durable: tools and equipment

This protection has met my expectations. I would definitely buy it again. Took me about 90 minutes to install it for my 2020 Jeep Rubicon. I recommend that you take measurements before beginning the assembly of the retaining brackets, starting with the gap you want at the bottom and the distance from that to the two horizontal brackets that are mounted on the protective cover. I didn't see that in the manual so I tried using visual aiming first. This led to a lot of trial and error. Once I…

Puzzle lovers will love the montage.

Directions could be clearer. Some buyers may benefit from step-by-step assembly instructions. My wife and I assembled the shield and, following the blast pattern, mounted it at a leisurely pace in about an hour. The main point is that you need to fully secure the towed vehicle and mount the shield with brackets and loose bolts until the assembly is fully assembled to the hitch. Make sure there are no strings, cables or a drawbar on the bottom edge. Once the clearance is good, tighten all…

Broken Parts: Body Repair Tools

We ordered this Blue Ox KarGard from Revain and the first one came with a broken frame part. They immediately sent a new one which was good and we sent back the broken one. We used it for a short 200-mile trip, but with the chip and seal on the roads, we were thankful it protected our tow vehicle. When we got home, removed the KarGard and folded it up, we found that one of the two short bolts had sheared off. We're going to buy some extra screws now as we can't figure out how to contact the…

Very poor installation instructions

Installation instructions are vague at best, with no indication of torque or backlash. My Kargard was mounted on a Blue Ox Avail hitch (same manufacturer as Kargard). The guard itself attaches to the brackets that you attach to the hitch. This includes removing the bolts that attach the triple eyelet to the legs of the hitch. The turret base is then slipped over the triple nose and the bolts are replaced. The instructions say don't overtighten or overtighten, not particularly useful…
