works pretty well in an adjustable hand drill, no wonder it doesn't work so well in a drill press. It was a surprise. I suspect it's because I chose a speed that was too fast for a countersink, but was appropriate for the drill bit I was using. The problem with this is that changing the speed is PITA on most drill presses with pulleys and all. So I went to a variable speed hand drill and it worked fine. Lower speeds seem to be better. Also, don't be fooled by some videos saying that running these beats backwards gives a clean cut. It's not like this.
