The SD slot is no longer readable

Well, I've really liked this hub for about 5 months. Yes it did get a little warm but not too hot as some reviews have stated and I liked having 2 USB-A ports, an HDMI port for my travel monitor and a USB-C port that supports the slot that I use to power my Mac (since the hub powered the Mac) AND an SD card slot (although it only used full size SD cards for this). However, after the SD card slot function worked great for 5 months, she decided to take a dive and she stopped reading SD cards. I've never abused this thing and really haven't used the SD reader that much, but no ejecting, re-inserting, trying different SD cards, disconnecting/reconnecting the hub got it working. I've now pulled out one of my old SD card readers and use it when needed, even though it occupies one of my USB ports. Otherwise the thing still works. I'll look for another hub that gives me the same versatility, but if I can't find one I might just buy another and live with a very limited lifespan until I find something more permanent.
