Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Ada Kowalczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Size - 185/65/15. Hyundai Solaris car. Hong Kong. Acquired after NG 2022 to replace the erased Bridge Blizak VRH, which I really liked in all modes, except for rolled snow and bare ice. I doubted whether I needed spikes, I did not regret that I bought it. Having passed the first 1000 on the run-in, I will sign what I felt and heard in stages. 1) 0-300 km accelerated, braked and turned very smoothly around the city, the speed was not higher than 80. The spikes were very noisy. 2) 300-700 km acceleration, the same braking, speed up to 100 km on the highway. I heard the noise of the spikes only when braking, a rhythmic rumble began to appear at 80-100 km / h. 3) 700-1000 km started driving as usual. The noise of the spikes disappeared in all modes, only a slight rustle. The hum is gone too. All technological rubber bands flew around (hairy rubber). I think the tires are great. Given the lack of Shumkov on Solaris, the tires do not bother with noise at all. After running in, all the spikes are in place, there is no damage. I took them just in time for the upcoming trip to Arkhyz in February 2022. The tires showed themselves from the very best side. I can recommend.

Pros
  • - Low price, despite the premium segment, not much more expensive than Pirelli, Hankook. - Excellent grip on packed and fresh snow, on bare ice. - Almost confident grip on porridge during acceleration and braking, road holding is good. - On the frozen asphalt, it feels like summer on summer. - On heated pavement, the braking distance is extended, the directional stability is excellent by 100-110. - A huge number of spikes. - Quiet after running in, almost like friction
Cons
  • Is that a directional tread pattern. Purely my opinion)
