This is sort of a copy of Oetiker #14100083 Side Sponge. Knipex, the German manufacturer, will most likely make #14100083 for Oetiker. These tools are used to close Oetiker ear clips with the side piece. For those who have not used/owned Knipex tools; Knipex produces very high quality tools. Sears, which offers a lifetime warranty on Craftsman tools, ALSO offers a lifetime warranty on Knipex tools only. no side attachment (opposite end). Very few vendors sell Oetiker pliers, and they cost about the same or a few dollars more than the Motion Pro MP Side Jaw.
