I upgraded in 2011 from a very old Benq xl2420t monitor 24 inch 1080p 120Hz 1ms. This monitor was a beast. It has served me well in gaming and photo editing as it was 95% srgb color but after 10 years of use the monitor started showing a pixel zone in the center of the screen it was small at first but grew over time. It's definitely time to buy another monitor. I stumbled across this AOC CU34G2X, it ticked all the boxes I had set to update, ✅ ultra wide, ✅ over 24 inches, ✅ 100% sRGB color, ✅ 1440p, I was a little worried about the curve in terms of the photo editing part especially with the perspective and by rotating the photos but after a few minutes of looking the curve is imperceptible like your brain knows there is a curve but you don't see it like that it just feels natural on. Overall this is a great monitor, I've been using it for almost a year with no complaints. The only thing I think is that AOC should label better in the frame where the buttons are, the frame is black and the markings are only engraved. in a black frame, they are not painted in different colors, setting up and calibrating the monitor exhausting, i had to guess the buttons by touch, but this happens in the first hour of using the monitor, after calibrating and configuring, i never had to mark draw for the buttons.
