Excellent tires; Toyota Hilux skated on them for a decade. Since I already had 17-inch disks, I had to order 275/65R17 tires because I couldn't locate the right size anywhere. The rubber has good steering characteristics, adequate braking performance on hard roads, and low wear in the specified sizes. Without me tracing the alignment, I believe it would have lasted another three seasons. I hit a puddle doing 110 kilometers per hour and didn't even realize I was hydroplaning. It even fared admirably on particularly mushy ground. The tread pattern on the old and new wheels is different, but the markings are exactly the same. For evidence, see image.
- Excellent control, stopping distance, predictability, and almost no aquaplaning (within acceptable bounds).
- No glaring flaws were discovered. The harsh diagonal was able to overcome the asphalt track, which was probably unavoidable in a large, hefty SUV with a lofty driving position. The whistling of the rubber tires can be heard even on the sand while doing a tight bend at high speed.
