This block is dangerous The block itself is well assembled except for the bottom mounting plate which is too thin and deforms allowing the bolt to come out. If using this add washers under the plate to keep it from warping and drill a hole through the rack pocket and this unit then tighten the bolt and locknut. So how do I know that on the second day of use I hit a pothole and that tire connection broke off and ended up behind my windshield just inches from the car?
