I bought this to power a custom Raspberry Pi powered stereo I'm building for my 2004 car. I needed something that would deliver enough current to power both the Pi and the touchscreen, and it certainly does! No low power lightning strikes even when starting the car. I've had previous adapters that didn't meet their rated loads, but this one is very reliable.
