I'm just buying my 9th and 10th bottles and I have to add my two cents to these wonderful bottles because I have a lot of experience with them. -- I've read complaints about the lid being difficult to close. I have NEVER had this problem. I open and close it with my thumb while driving or walking. It doesn't need two hands (well, maybe it would for a kid). - I've read complaints about mold on the inside of the flip top lid, specifically the soft gasket inside the spout lid. NEVER had this problem. Yes, I live in a very dry part of the country. After a few days, the inside of the lid can get a bit "slimy" but then I rinse it and dry it with a paper towel. It is very easy to wash between washes. I've read complaints about bottles breaking when dropped. I have NEVER had this problem. I've dropped my bottles dozens and dozens of times. These bottles will not leak or break. I found the quality consistently good. My only negative comment is that plastic can get scratchy and old bottles go cloudy. OK. Excellent. It's time to buy a new one. The price is right, so no problem. Thank you Nalgen!
