Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 SUV 265/65 R17 116T winter by Franciszka Szpakowsk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

November 16, 2022 I bought a set of tires 265/65/17 SUV, Nord Frost 200, studded. Changed to summer shoes today. on these tires drove 6036 km. I can’t give an adequate assessment, because. all winter the temperature in St. Petersburg was more than +4 degrees. A couple of moments with frostbitten asphalt do not count. The car brakes well in the specified conditions. Today I specifically checked it, it turned out that three spikes in total were missing on the 2nd tire on the front axle. Car - Kruzak Prado 120, weight 220. Driving style - measured and calm. The only exception is autobahns, where I allow 160-170 to bring down the road keeps well, but it’s better not to get into a rut. Although this is again a subjective opinion, because I drove through the winter with a pressure of 2.3 atm, although it should be 2 atm . Now I put the summer ones, Toyo Open Country, did not overestimate the pressure, set the recommended 2 atm. and dived into the rut first. surprisingly didn't quit. Most likely, Gislaved will not quit on the winter one either, if you adhere to the recommended 2 atm. In general, I am satisfied with the rubber, but due to the fact that I have not yet assessed the behavior of tires in real winter conditions, I put 4. I will supplement the review next year, after the 20-21 season. ate 04/18/2022 Yesterday I changed my shoes for the summer. For the season (from 10/04/2022 to 04/17/2022) I dashed off (if all calculations are correct) 5010 km in St. Petersburg. As I wrote the tires are quiet, soft. Season 20-21 turned out to be quite snowy and frosty. The tires showed themselves as follows - in total, 9 studs fell out on 4 wheels in two seasons (3 studs fell out last season. This season 6 more fell out). There were no frosts last winter, so it's hard to judge whether the tires were hardened due to frost or not. This year I set the recommended pressure to 2 atmospheres. During the winter it blew up to 1.8-1.9 atm. In frosty time (although it only reached -17) in the morning I left the parking lot, I felt that the rubber had hardened and froze in an oval shape, but it was 1 time. In the season, the driving style did not change, even on the ring road it stopped putting pressure on the slippers, so 120 on the ring road was my destiny.

Pros
  • Quiet, soft
Cons
  • until I noticed
