I make handrails for our steps. They are made of low carbon steel, mostly with 6011 arc rods. I was hoping not to grind the welds too much, but my welding skills rusted and I ended up actively chasing welds. This air tool attachment has really made a world of difference. After smoothing out all of the welds in this project, it still sheds large metal shavings and works fairly quickly. I was skeptical at this price point but it's a solid sanding tool, sharp and durable which certainly makes it a great choice for DIY, but it feels professional to me. My air tool doesn't cost a fortune, and my 30-gallon air compressor can get the job done. This is a 1/4" shank.
