Review on Schlage Privacy Artisan Sliding Lock Hardware by Ahmed Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good lock but needs improvement

The door is still difficult to open from that little groove (not to mention the actual retractable lever, but if your door is closed you'll need to use the notch to lock it open, and that's what I mean). If I were you (who researches sliding door hardware) looking for a sliding door handle and the like, consider some other options or try it yourself on an installed door. but the item looks great and it looks like a lot of these door pools. As for the pull arm - it works as intended and perfectly! I also know that a sliding door does not necessarily need doorstops. , but I would suggest that otherwise you run into the problem of someone breaking open that door (either pushing it or bumping into it, or just accidentally leaning on it). So if you install stops (on each side of the door) the problem is moving the lever to lock the door as it is too close. I don't think all of this has been taken into account. EVEN with no stops it's too close to the post and try to move that little locking lever. The bad part is that there aren't many other pocket door options on the market. and this is the most common design. Somebody Hire Me I'll Show You Good Pocket Door Lock Design! :)
