Review on Stainless Steel Mandoline Slicer for Kitchen - Adjustable Vegetable Slicer for Onion, Carrot, Potato, Tomato, Cabbage, French Fry - Includes Cut Resistant Gloves and Brush by Victor Correa

I like it very much, but the instructions on the handle are almost illegible.

I bought this when the blade of my old plastic mandolin became too dull to use and it stopped sharpening. I love that I can cut the potatoes into chunks for french fries, although it takes a very strong hand to push the potatoes through the blades. It also slices the onion and cucumber very thinly, which I like. The fact that it's all stainless steel is a huge plus. I have 2 problems with this item. The main difficulty is that the inscription on the handle of the blade cylinder is almost invisible. You should be able to read it easily to adjust the blades, take them out for cleaning, and put the cylinder back in. The inscription should be white and light, but it isn't. I used a silver felt tip pen once I found the markings so I can find them again quickly. This mandolin is also too big to soak in water in my double kitchen sink. I don't run the dishwasher more than once a week or every two weeks, and I use the mandolin almost daily, so I have to hand wash it without soaking it in soapy water. That means I have to be very, very careful with a super sharp blade. And there is no way to hand dry this item without risking cuts, so it must be left lying until it has air dried.
