So this is intended to be a lower priced version of Silca's brass cartridge. Good idea, but design doesn't work. The shallow depth of the internal chamber prevents the Presta valve stem from being inserted behind the removable core found on many tube valves. This core has two key flats that prevent the o-ring in the cartridge from becoming tight, allowing most of the air being pumped to escape without entering the tube. It works with a non-removable core, but life is too short to choose the right tubing for your pump. let's go folks. It would also work if the cartridge case was 5-10mm deeper - they sell another version like this for a few bucks more (haven't tried it but in theory it will work fine). This is returned as non-functional. .
