Works well, 1/8” thread

Good for Presta valves. Pressure escapes on a racing bike. Thread 1/8”. Difficult to find adapters to connect to an air compressor. I ended up using a rubber hose attached to the trigger. Does the job for mountain bikes

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

This worked great to inflate my presta valve tires on my mountain bike! with my blowgun). So installed I have an on/off valve to stop the airflow. I also set the pressure regulator on my air tank to my tire pressure reading (55 psi) to avoid over pressurizing my bike's tires. All round fantastic results. I'm considering buying another one!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Nice Presta inflator

Like picture. 1, This is the item you will receive from Prestacycle. The air outlet is clearly of a predetermined size. The air intake side is Schrader sized. The gold detail in Fig. 2 is supplied with an inflation gauge (Fig. 3) and is a fixed Schrader size. The inflator is connected to my air compressor hose. I installed a quick disconnect on the inflator for quick ammo changes. This setup works great when I need to inflate my bike tires while monitoring the pressure. The right-angle…

(Bike Mechanic Review) - Good idea, wrong design

So this is intended to be a lower priced version of Silca's brass cartridge. Good idea, but design doesn't work. The shallow depth of the internal chamber prevents the Presta valve stem from being inserted behind the removable core found on many tube valves. This core has two key flats that prevent the o-ring in the cartridge from becoming tight, allowing most of the air being pumped to escape without entering the tube. It works with a non-removable core, but life is too short to choose the…

Doesn't work properly as a gauge head

This type of Presta head is just a rubber seal/sleeve and nothing else in the head. When you insert the Presta valve into this head, the Presta valve nut is caught and pushed by the rubber bushing, and then the bushing simultaneously seals the top of the valve stem. I think this might work well for inflation as the air pressure entering the valve keeps the valve sleeve and nut depressed. However, when using this Presta head on the pressure gauge, the valve nut will not remain depressed and the…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Minor issues

Bought to replace the original head on a prestacycle inflator I bought a few years ago. I've only tried using the original inflator a couple of times but got frustrated and threw it in a drawer. The problem wasn't so much with the head as with the rubber gasket used. The original was so stiff you could barely get the presta valve in and if you did it wouldn't close. The new head seems to have a more flexible hub that works with a slight pressure adjustment. Still not perfect, but at least it's…

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • exchange available

I can't find a suitable bracket for this Presta head to attach to my compressor. Presta head is metric. I looked for the whole adapter but couldn't find it. All of the pneumatic fittings I've found are based on the imperial standard (which is used in America). The company knew this was a problem as they now advertise the Presta Head with a compressor fitting. Which costs an additional $12.95. BEST FUNCTION - This head is perfect for tubeless tires and any presta valve. INCLUDES - Latest version

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Unsafe

You just don't understand how this thing is supposed to work.

If you're selling a Schraeder Presta adapter, the Schraeder side needs a pin/plunger - something there to actuate the center pin of the standard gauge head. I see other reviewers using it with a pressure gauge but I can't get it to work. Drilling doesn't change the situation. So now buy a blowgun designed for this adapter and live without being able to measure what you put in as air without going back and forth with a pressure gauge (another problem). I've spent hours and many dollars trying to

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing

Outdated design with serious problems.

I bought this pick knowing it was an "open" design that didn't have a pin to depress the presta valve and forgot what that meant that I can't use the bleeder valve on my inflation gun to deflate my tires as the presta valve will not close unless you depressurize the inflation line. I just don't understand why anyone would find the open cartridge design useful, especially when most modern designs are valve actuated and have integral exhaust valves. Maybe this would help if you're trying to use a

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
