I connected it to an HP Specter x360. The computer (running Windows 10) recognizes it when it's plugged in and I can unplug it with no problem. I connected a VGA device and successfully used a USB 3.0 port and an Ethernet port (speed similar to my 1GB connection on my previous computer) on the hub. I look forward to using the HDMI port when I get a 4k monitor. I haven't tried the connections for audio, microphone or card reader yet. The cable from the hub is very short (maybe 6 inches?) but this ensures that all devices work properly when connected to the hub. You can get 1ft or 1.5ft extensions, but I haven't tried them yet and reviews say some conflicting results in lengthening the stroke.
