6 times later it failed

Installed, checked on the go, works fine. I put the boat in the water 5 days after installing the starter motor. The first ignition worked great. The second worked great. Drive a boat, go fishing, launch the boat. Nothing, the starter stopped working after 6 times. I went home and checked, the solenoid works, the starter doesn't spin. open windings
