The stones were exactly as I imagined. Small pieces of stone 1-2 inches tall. The box of stones was sent in a bag and when it arrived all the stones were on the back of the packaging and the box was all squashed. Not a big deal, but annoying when opening the back end clears some fine dust/dirt from the stones, and a bit annoying now that I need to store stones that I'm not going to use yet. In general the stones are good and washed. very well without polluting the water. They look good and did what I wanted ie added a separate "island" for the Zoa.
