These pads are very strong. The distance from the top of the pad to the bottom of the groove is exactly the same as the weld on my Lexus and Toyota. This was the size I was concerned about, to ensure the weld reaches the bottom of the groove so the gasket doesn't press too hard on the horizontal flat sides next to the weld. The metal is thin and I don't want to risk bending it when the car is on the jack. However, the distance between the cheeks of the chuck where the tip of the jack goes is a bit small for my jacks. The Amazon product image shows this size, but I assumed these pads should have enough room to fit on a "regular" stand. It's easier to make them a little larger than too small. Well they are too small. I can jack them up as they are rubber after all but I suspect they won't last very long if used this way and the cheeks will likely snap off at some point. I'll have to see if I can sand down the coasters 1-2mm to make them fit.
