I bought this product through an Indiegogo campaign and the software is MUCH better than previous versions. and 2 - The software scans other parts of my computer for confidential information and communicates with a server in China. I really don't think a desktop scanner should care what other programs I have installed on my computer or what my history or cookies are. Since it seems to be doing things like this and has a microphone, I would be concerned about what can be scanned/heard. My experience with their tech support resulted in them downloading/installing software on my computer from a website in China that was loaded with suspicious components from a Malwarebytes scan (and other tools) and the technician's interest in the financial files disabled my computer, my software firewall, and not answering my direct, repeated questions about their interest in files on my computer and installed software. a product well suited for scanning potentially sensitive documents into an electronic format. This functionality is AWESOME! And has better character recognition than Adobe Professional! But what is he doing behind the scenes in my car?
