The template has too much clearance to be accurate for 8" cabinet pulls. The plastic is too thin and fragile. It may differ 1/8 inch. which is very frustrating. A previous review recommended marking holes with a gauge, then removing the gauge and measuring. Then use the mount again. I would recommend that. However, the whole point of using a jig is improving your accuracy. I would be more accurate if I just measure from the start. This device is likely to be much more accurate on narrower devices. Not recommended for wider devices. Save money.
