CHUYIREN cheese slicer is fine. It comes in minimal packaging. It didn't give off any strange odors or chemical smells. It measures 8.5 inches long and 5 inches wide. It has 1 cable pre-installed with an additional 10 included. Everything is ready to use immediately upon receipt. Attaching and removing cables is pretty easy. I've used this for slicing cheese and soap. effortlessly wipes away soap and hard/soft cheeses. My only problem is that it tends to slip on my countertop. Those little non-slip feet on the bottom don't do much. I fixed it though, but place one of these silicone guy Mays under them and that will help. I love that there is no need to oil it or ensure there are specific maintenance products needed to keep it clean and working properly. I have washed it by hand and in the dishwasher. and holds up well, no rust or other notable defects. f. It's almost perfect except for the gliding. I use it every day and find that the value is not bad at all.
