I had several old X-acto blades (probably 20-30 years old when they were still made in the USA) to compare, plus blades X- acto is currently in production. They are actually slightly heavier than the old blades, which of course are much heavier than the ones currently being produced. They are very durable and seem to be holding up well. Would definitely buy again. They're noticeably thicker than the Chinese-made X-acto blades, so keep that in mind if that's an issue for your project.
