I hate this but I was also encouraged by the amount of positive feedback. I had to follow my intuition and stick with the regular Honeywell/3M filters. Yes, there are more of these, but that's the price you have to pay for peace of mind. I've had a problem with my air conditioner for 4 days. I don't want to bore you with the details but I did everything I could as a landlord other than replace the entire unit. Before anyone recommends anything, I can tell you that I've tried it. I am technically and mechanically inclined. I've narrowed it down to the airflow from the filters. I have no problem, like many people, with the size. My filters are 25x25x1 inches. As for the build quality - sorry but they made me doubt when I got my hands on them. I didn't feel safe at all. I've concluded that they sufficiently restrict airflow with the coils, which allows water to get onto the filter. And this is bad for them, since a small amount of water will instantly deform them. Water drips from my coils onto the top of the filter, which restricts airflow and allows more water to flow faster. I just bought some Honeywells and will be replacing them and see if it gets any better at all. I will try to remember to update my original review.
