Review on Spectre Performance 24283 Throttle Bracket by Shawn Bass

This is a really cool and very useful mount. This allows you to adjust the throttle cable to control the carburetor butterflies throughout the stroke range. More importantly, it allows you to properly set up the TV cable for transmission. (By the way, television is not just television!). The chrome plating matches all Specter products. Okay, not great, but then again, it's not like a "face slap" seen as a chrome front bumper. It's not visible at all on most air filter setups, but if it's related to your filter housing then you're fine. Looks better than any carburetor base plate. I gave four stars because the thickness of the metal it is stamped from is a bit thin. It could be at least a thickness or two thicker, but it holds up for most uses. Unless you're one of those mechanics who installs a return spring that makes the pedal so stiff you have to use both feet to push it all the way down. If so then you need something heavier than that. Along with new throttle shafts and base plate on the carburetor coming soon. All you do with that heavy recoil spring is wear it out prematurely! Conclusion: This is a good product that has worked without issue on dozens of custom builds I've seen and built over the years.
