Review on Truck Bed Storage Box: UnderCover SwingCase SC203P for 2015-2020 Ford F-150 (Passenger Side, Black) by Chase Cooper

This product was easy to install but I found the instructions a bit misleading. I have a 2017 F-150 with a factory liner. The instructions say I need to trim the lining, but that's not true. I used a 3/8" spade bit to drill holes in the liner to match the factory pre-drilled holes in the mounting position. Where the weight retention brackets are, I just had to cut the liner to allow easy access to the bolts that hold the locking bracket in place, fitting neatly behind the mounting brackets. Once installed, the unit fits and works great WITHOUT having to remove anything from my bedding. Apparently the storage box brackets have been updated since the instructions were printed and are misleading at first. I noticed two aluminum washers. I heard them "pop" when I just hand tightened the screws. I also wish one of the mounting bolts was about 1/4" larger as there wasn't room for a lock washer on the center bolt. I think the box could be a bit larger. There is plenty of room between the wheel arch and the body bulge. The only thing that is different The improvement I would recommend is improving the hinge latch, it's plastic and the only thing holding it in place is the top of the lock and as there is no way to fix the hinge latch at the bottom it can easily removed with a screwdriver Overall this is a good addition and I'm considering buying another one for the passenger side.
