Attaches easily to the knurled handle for a secure grip. I had a diamond chip that extended further than the others so I used it first to clad a 6 year old stone circle with rounded edges. We barely touched this chip with the surface of the road wheel and moved it from side to side on the handrail and we got a very good result. I then used it, also with very light contact, to contour a new 1" wide, 100 grit white stone. again with very good results. I agree with another reviewer that those complaining about their quick wear may be putting too much pressure on them. I sanded/profiled these 2 wheels and the tool still looks brand new! world/outside
