Review on Culligan US EZ 4 EZ Change Undersink Filtration by Kevin Folsom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No leaks, good water. No swimmers. Easy installation.

UPDATE September 2019: It's been over a year since I use the SAME CARTRIDGE. Our water treatment plant is currently having water quality issues and the pipes are very dirty. With only the BASIC cartridge, the water is crystal clear and drinkable. This kid is amazing. Still no leaks. I bought another replacement cartridge just in case. Oh, the nut holding the device to the sink is broken because it's plastic. Just buy a steel nut and the problem is solved. Should cost around $3. --------------------------------------------- ----- ------------------------------------------ --- -- ----------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: After reading the reviews about it, I was skeptical. Some people said the filter wasn't good enough or that it wasn't filtering out the right contaminants. I thought that we live in a metropolis where the city water is almost decent. So we decided to use the basic version of the filter. In addition, a reverse osmosis system is very expensive and wastes a ton of water (about 3 gallons of waste per 1 gallon of drinking water). I have to say the results are amazing, even with the main filter: - No particles or visible impurities. in water. This means no "floating" or "flakes," as people call calcium, manganese, or magnesium deposits seen in cold or room temperature water. While these sediments are harmless (in fact, they occur naturally in other foods), they taste odd and look rather discouraging. This filter took everything away. - The water tastes good. Even at room temperature, the water is drinkable and tasty. The water pressure is quite good with the main filter. (see images) To install, just follow the instructions and a few pro tips: PRO TIP: The label included in the white silicone tubing is 5/8 inch long. When you cut the pipe to your liking, mark it on the other side so you can easily set it to the correct depth. PRO TIP: If you need to drill an extra hole in your sink. You need bit 9/16. I tried the 5/8 hole as instructed but the white pipe doesn't fit. Use these to drill a hole: - TEMO M35 Cobalt 9-Step Double Flute 3/8" Shank from 1/4" to 3/4" - CRC 03400 16oz Truetap Cutting Fluid Heavy Duty - Starrett 117C Round shank centering pin, 4" length, 1/8" tapered tip diameter. You can also check out my reviews of these 3 tools for more details on how to use them for this application. PRO TIP: USE duct tape (white) on all male connectors.. This TIP: When I first turned on the water nothing came out because the filter had to be clicked TWICE in when tightening Tight No matter what we observed Several people complained of leaks, in our case was not the case, we used masking tape the process was very easy it took us more time to clean the area under the sinks oops the installation took time - we left the filter loose (not attached with screws) for easier removal and replacement.
