This is a solid and well made tool. Bought the 300mm model. It comes with a stick as shown in the product photo, which can be replaced with a piece of round shaft with a sharp end. The instructions say it's in thin materials. I prefer the Drill Style Center. When drilling a hole, I find using it on a drill press to be the easiest and most accurate. It can be used in a hand drill, but you have to be very careful that it cuts evenly through the entire circle. With two cuttings, they must be placed VERY close to the center and evenly spaced. Markings on horizontal bars are difficult to read unless you have a bright light; however, applying a small amount of white paint to the grid and digits, followed by an immediate wiping of the surface paint, makes the digits and grid much more visible and allows for much finer adjustment of the cutting heads.
