This phone hub was a little overkill for what I really needed, but I wanted it to be as good as it could be in the future. My old hub was outside and constantly getting damaged from lawn maintenance and the wires got noisy every time it rained, so I installed this hub in a closet indoors and routed the wires underground into the house. Btw, get a 110 impact tool, it makes the job a lot easier and you will be less likely to get hurt. I had some issues initially but found it was due to the way the old wiring (40+ years old) was connected and the condition it was in. Because of this I replaced all the old wiring with the new 5e line and everything is fine, good quiet lines and no more risk of damage. I contacted Circuit Direct (seller) via Revain email and they responded almost immediately and gave me ideas. how to solve the problems i had. They have excellent customer service. The only point of criticism would be the operating instructions, which could be improved a bit.
