Multiple phone lines could not be connected.

Bought this tool and socket tool. Try it (and I've tried A LOT), I couldn't get it to securely connect the phone lines together. The teeth just didn't break through the wire insulation as promised. At the end, the ends of the RJ-11 were connected to phone lines and connected to the multiplex (URBEST Beige RJ11 6P4C Male to 5 Ports 6P4C Female Telephone Splitter Adapter). Clean, tidy and easy to use. And a much cheaper option.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some difficulties

It has worked great so far and I prefer 110 strokes.

I built a new house and installed all the network/phone/TV wiring myself. I wanted something decent to hook up my phone lines and I stumbled upon it. My phone company set up an NID that filters out DSL/phone connections to two separate pairs going into my house. I connected these pairs to this hub and ran filtered phone lines throughout the house, then plugged in a dedicated DSL phone jack from another pair also connected to this hub. It has worked great so far and I prefer 110 beats over Block

The instructions are not clear but seem to be well laid out.

The instructions only indicate how the scrap pairs fit together, but do not indicate the order or wiring standard used. I connected the white wires at the bottom of each pair and then ran the tester cable through to see that it used T-568A wiring standards. The cable I connected has a different transmit connector than 568B, hence the orange and green are swapped in my photo. Bottom to top, pins 5, 4, 3, 6, 1, 2, 7, 8. I canceled home phone service before I bothered to rewire my phone lines to…

Bank 1 is down, instructions are missing.

Bank 1 didn't work. I double checked the wiring at the hub and at the output jack and it was correct. The wiring worked before the hub was installed and I made sure the wires weren't broken. I re-punched new sections of wire and they still didn't work. Banks 2, 3 and 4 worked and the POTS (plain telephone service) wiring passed the test with the Klein Scout Pro 3 tester. Finally I removed the wires from bank 1 and plugged them into another bank and that connector worked . The instructions were…

Brings your home up to

My house became Built in 1980 and had the typical cobwebs, like a jumble of old phone lines running to screw terminals. That was pretty good for phone calls but a problem with noise and signal loss for DSL connections. After removing the old equipment, putting the box up and putting all the components back together the DSL line was working at full speed and the other lines in the house were silent simple 110 blade punch tool This is the only correct way to connect your PBX's solid wires to the…

An excellent choice for upgrading telephone service in older homes.

I switched my mom to VOIP and this phone hub was just the ticket for a junction box. No structured media cabinet is required to use it. Simply remove the black push pins (use a vise to pry part of the pin out at the top, then twist out and push out the rest of the "leg"), then secure with regular wood screws. .I chose this one over the comparable Leviton offering (Leviton 47689-B 1x9 Bridge Phone Module w/Bracket) as it is cheaper and its case is much sturdier. Leviton simply uses a plastic…

Pros
  • FAST HOME HUB MOUNT: Suitable for Fasthome or similar housings. Also works as a standalone device!
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

Great hub, great customer service

This phone hub was a little overkill for what I really needed, but I wanted it to be as good as it could be in the future. My old hub was outside and constantly getting damaged from lawn maintenance and the wires got noisy every time it rained, so I installed this hub in a closet indoors and routed the wires underground into the house. Btw, get a 110 impact tool, it makes the job a lot easier and you will be less likely to get hurt. I had some issues initially but found it was due to the way…
