I switched my mom to VOIP and this phone hub was just the ticket for a junction box. No structured media cabinet is required to use it. Simply remove the black push pins (use a vise to pry part of the pin out at the top, then twist out and push out the rest of the "leg"), then secure with regular wood screws. .I chose this one over the comparable Leviton offering (Leviton 47689-B 1x9 Bridge Phone Module w/Bracket) as it is cheaper and its case is much sturdier. Leviton simply uses a plastic clip; The Steren hub has a full metal body on all sides. As previously mentioned, this hub is not designed to work with older, heavier gauge phone cables. Use Category 3 or higher cables and you will have no problem using a hole punch to connect this hub. I got by with the little plastic that came with the keystone bushing a long time ago and it worked fine.
