Review on Schlage FE575 PLY 626 ELA by Todd Adams

Removing the battery doorknob is just a bad idea. Poor design

I just got this, I bought this to replace my door knob after my security system put a keyless deadbolt in the system. The downside of this is that they don't match, and second, if I slam a regular lock, the keyless entry won't do much good. Pro: So this is the only keyless entry I've found that has a handle. Actually goes with my other door handles I just bought. i love this part It closes instantly, which I like in kids, and the wind blows through the door easily. Also, the handles can move in any direction. Cons: Just note that there isn't a regular lock inside and you can't know if it's locked. . If you click on the handle, it just opens. You have to go outside to see if it's locked and I think go through another door. Call me crazy, but that doesn't give me confidence. Cons: I have 2 other keyless locks. Both have easy access to the battery and have locks inside. Who would make you take off the whole doorknob to change the battery? I'm a woman so 10 doorknobs found out later. But the old woman and most normal people don't want to change the battery or the whole doorknob. And every time you change the battery, every few months, which is four times a year, sounds crazy. And wearing parts, screws and loosening. I'm still considering whether to keep it. I put off changing other batteries, can't imagine taking the doorknob off every time a battery dies. This is madness! Wouldn't buy it again for this reason. The handle is the only reason I can leave it and it locks instantly in case the other keyless entry runs out of battery or something happens.
