Review on Western Digital 500GB Reliable Warranty by Bob Taylor
The description is misleading.
They are not new and are not covered under WD's warranty. They have not been used but were manufactured February 2012 and are OEM units so WD will not cover them if something goes wrong. Due to the price and the fact that they are WD drives I kept them and used them in the DVR.
