The Groove for Yarn is Rough and Needs to be Smoothed With Sandpaper So That Yarn Will Flow Through

The bowl is lovely. I wish that it didn't have the yarn groove. I can put a cake in it and pull from the top but occasionally, the yarn gets caught in the groove intended for yarn and it doesn't work well at all. The edges of the groove are rough and the yarn tugs and gets frayed. I'll need to sand the edges before I use it again.
