THIS ELECTRONIC REGULATOR REPLACES ALL OTHER PREVIOUS ONES.
This electronic unit replaces all previous controls, including the mechanical ones. However, make sure all your wires are connected to the controller, or make a wiring diagram of your car yourself and attach the wiring to the outlet. I also purchased a Standard Motors Products HP3880 regulator socket pre-wired with the correct color coded wires that connect to your vehicle's wiring harness with butt connectors. BEFORE CONNECTING THE BATTERY AND SWITCHING THE IGNITION ON, MAKE SURE THE REGULATOR IS EARTHED.
