Review on Kwikset 99380 001 Electronic Deadbolt Featuring by Brian Young

I liked the product. Was relatively easy to install. Replaced the touchpad style lock with an older version (maybe 7-8 years old) to make it work. Connecting to our network and phones was pretty easy too. The app works great. Constructive observation for 4 stars only: - I wish the app had more granular controls, like the associated icons above (network, battery status, etc.). - There should be a low battery warning so be ready to switch if necessary as this thing rips through batteries. I don't use the app controlled lock controls often, more like a regular key lock. But a fresh set of good batteries lasts 8 weeks and then it's dead. Is there a power saving feature? This is an absurd burn rate given its infrequent use. The rest is OK.
