It doesn't really work reliably.- I used a 20V 1.5A (30W) charger but the laptop flashes green briefly and then turns on out. This repeats every few seconds. The laptop was not charged. I tried a much larger 100w unit and it was set to charge during the on and off periods. So the backlight turns on and off, which is annoying. It seems to charge in general, but it is only suitable for charging at night, it does not work while charging. It's better to find a genuine magsafe charger as a replacement.
