Last December the floor shifted causing a pipe in the concrete of our home to change angle, reverse flow and flow under our laminate floors. Fortunately, our insurance paid for most of the $20,000+ repairs. Shortly after I was washing dishes in the sink and after feeling water on my socks I found that the U-notch PVC pipe under the sink was not attached. I immediately placed a dozen towels on any wet spots and fanned them while reconnecting the pipe. Panic set in and I quickly ordered this product and dehumidifier. This product came quickly but didn't quite match my product. While I'm still waiting for the dehumidifier, I'm pretty sure the concrete underneath the laminate floors is dry. This product is better for piercing wood, concrete and similar building materials to see if they are dry. I didn't want to poke holes in my new laminate to see if they got wet. However, this is a quality product that I will use in the future. Enjoy!
